Grenadian nutmeg is freshly grated into dark chocolate before roasted walnuts and dried organic bananas from the big island of Hawaii are combined to create the Banana Victoria Bar. The flavors are reminiscent of pain d'epices, a French spice bread often served at the holidays. But, you will likely become so enchanted at first bite, you will be indulging in this bar year round.

Originally, I created this flavor for the holidays but I have a feeling it is here to stay. Pain d'epices is served in France around Christmas and is a bit like gingerbread with warm, winter spices. During my recipe research, I was enchanted by a dessert called Victoria, an elaborate Parisian dessert served in the late 1800s. And so, this new festive and alluring bar was named.

Childhood Memories    
It immediately reminded me of the Chocolate Frozen Bannanas I had as a child. I'm going to have to freeze the rest of it when I get home. Assuming it lasts that long.

Subtly Sumptuous    
The banana flavor is detectable without being overwhelming. The Grenadian nutmeg gives the chocolate a nice depth of flavor. And normally I don't like nuts in my chocolate, but the walnuts were a nice additional flavor. So long as you like the taste of bananas, this is a definite "must try".

this was a very subtle bar. nice chewiness with the pieces of banana. very soft on the palate.

Subtle banana deliciousness    
If you love banana chocolate deserts you will love this bar. A slight salty taste us a nice balance for the sweetness of the bananas. The dark chocolate and the bananas takes me back to frozen bananas at the fair. Yummy!

The bananas are a very subtle flavor in this bar. I like bananas, so I wanted the flavor to be more pronounced. Still a good bar.
