Be seduced by Banyuls, a vin doux naturel named for the French appellation in which it is made. This fortified dessert wine is made by adding alcohol ("grape spirits") before fermentation of the wine is complete, killing the yeast and leaving sugar behind. Banyuls is the home of the finest vins doux naturels and the Grenache Noir grape must make up at least 50% of its composition.

M. Chapoutier is a world renowned producer of Banyuls. We selected their red Banyuls, made with 100% Grenache Noir grapes, harvested by hand. The wine pours a rich garnet red with a nose of chocolate and roasted coffee. On the palate it is powerful in both flavor and texture, imparting ripe cherry dried black fruit notes.
