"The truth is, I wanted to use Marcona almonds, but the best Marcona almonds are fried and slabbed in oil. Oil and chocolate do NOT mix. So I found an alternate smoked almond and added sea salt. The smoky note sort of emulates the fried taste. Little did I know I would develop the cult following…chocolate + salt."

A Pleasant Surprise

| We bought this chocolate at the Fresh Market for about $7.00 and loved it! The chocolate has a nice body and aroma and the sea salt gave it a nice full taste. But the almonds, the smoky flavor reminiscent of bacon, rounded the flavor off amazingly. Thank you to Katrina for providing this delicious chocolate! |

Barcelona

| The Barcelona bar is the best chocolate I've had in a while. Although in today's economy it is an extreme splurge. I received a coupon for 15% off in my bar and checked on line to see if I could splurge and buy some. This is just stupid, I can buy one for 6.99 at my local store and Vosges is charging $7.50 ea. plus $10 shipping. What good does the 15% do. Seriously guys I was in the fine food business, sold your product wholesale and I know your mark-up and this is how you reward your loyal customers by up charging and then give 15% off. Greed will get you eventually. Give your customers value and an incentive/reward and we will always be loyal. Now I just feel ripped off. |
