Bombalinas are traditional panned nuts with a Vosges twist! The kick of the wasabi, the salty hint of sesame seeds and the refreshing zing of ginger are cooled by dark chocolate and the crunch of cashews. Each cashew has been roasted and salted to delightful perfection and then covered in our rich chocolate and spices. As a result, it is almost impossible to eat just one handful.

The Ancient Egyptians are believed to be one of the first candy-making enthusiasts, blending indigenous figs, dates, nuts and spices with honeycomb to create an array of sweet treats. These ambrosial bites date back to 2000 B.C., when hieroglyphic pictorials were discovered in tombs.

As the Egyptians mixed and blended they discovered yet another process: panning. By rotating a bowl filled with nuts or small dried fruits and slowly adding a coating, they were able to evenly distribute the liquid on the surface of the nut. Today, special machinery aids in the panning of nuts in chocolate, yet the intrigue of history remains.
