"I began experimenting with bacon + chocolate at the tender age of 6, while eating chocolate chip pancakes drenched in Aunt Jemima® syrup, as children often do. Beside my chocolate-laden cakes laid three strips of sizzlin' bacon, just barely touching a sweet pool of maple syrup. And then, the magic—just a bite of the bacon was too salty and I yearned for the sweet kiss of chocolate and syrup, so I combined the two. In retrospect, perhaps this was a turning point; for on that plate something magical happened, the beginnings of a combination so ethereal and delicious that it would haunt my thoughts until I found the medium to express it—chocolate.
From there, it was just a matter of time…and what began as a love of salt and sweet quickly unraveled into an obsession. No sooner could I wait to unveil the royal coupling in solid bar form, a deep milk chocolate with bits and pieces of hickory smoked uncured bacon and just a sprinkling of Alderwood smoked salt. Really, what doesn't taste better with bacon?"

Bacon and chocolate?
| This is by far my most favorite Vosges bar. A little salty, smokey bacon, followed by their smooth dark chocolate...mmmm I love this bar! |

Salty sweet joy
| I've never had chocolate like this in my life. The hint of salt and the smoky bacon really makes the dark chocolate pop. This is a chocolate bar to be savored. |

| Vosges was my first experience with the "wow" that is smoky, meaty, salty bacon combined with dark, earthy, intense, QUALITY chocolate. Others have tried to hop on this band wagon, but without the same result. This is the best Bacon+Chocolate product available. Bar none. |

Kids Favorite
| We can not open this without the kids (5 and 8 years old). They love many of the bars, but they get mad if they find out we ate a dark chocolate bacon bar with out them. It is kind of funny, mean but funny. |

Smokey goodness
| I wasn't sure how I'd like this... I mean bacon & chocolate together?! It ended up being a very interesting taste combination. The salty & sweet that I crave plus the creamy that I love. A little chewy. Pretty yummy and very rich! |

You Had Me at
| The best thing to happen to chocolate since the discovery of the peanut. The lyrical interplay of sweet and savory leaves the taster with an exquisite desire for more. |

Everything's better with bacon!
| This is proof of what a friend of mine has claimed for years: "bacon is a spice!" Ha! I don't know know about that, but it sure does taste great in this bar- the smoky, salty bacon pairs so well with the deep, dark chocolate. Good to the last nibble! |

Excellent
| I tasted a piece at their Chicago store and was impressed. I enjoy chocolate, but I'm not a fanatic. However, this bar was so interesting. At first the dark chocolate taste and then you get smoky flavor of the bacon - what a great pairing. I highly recommend. I liked it so much we bought a few bars to bring back as souvenirs and everyone loved them too. |

Best idea and execution ever!
| Vosges dark chocolate = amazing. The only thing that makes ANYTHING better is bacon. Vosges pairs these two delicacies in a way that makes the taste buds and soul sing in harmony! |

Bigger Bits Please
| I really enjoyed this bar, but found myself wanting just a bit more bacon. Maybe if the bits were just a little bit bigger I wouldn't find myself wanting more. |

Interesting...
| I love bacon and the idea of bacon and chocolate just sounded awesome. Although this wasn't' what I was expecting. The bits of bacon were little enough that I couldn't really tell they were there, but could still taste them. Interesting to say the least but absolutely worth the try. |

strange concept = yum!
| You may be thinking bacon with chocolate???? I got my first one just to see what is was all about and it was surprisingly yummy. The saltiness of the bacon goes so well with the rich sweetness of the chocolate. You have to try it to get it. |

Where's the bacon?
| This chocolate bar sorely disappointed - I could not taste the bacon! I think all the bacon was on the box the bar came in. Two thumbs down, don't waste your money. |

Bacon & Chocolate were meant to be together!!
| This is the BEST chocolate/bacon bar I have ever had! I have had pieces of bacon covered with chocolate, which is good, but this chocolate bar has the perfect amounts of bacon, salt, and chocolate!! So yummy!! |

Where's the Bacon?
| As a native Virginian, bacon is to me what oranges are to Californians, but try as I might, I detected no bacon flavor at all. I shared the bar with others, and their reaction was the same. The chocolate is wonderful, hence the 3 rating, but I can get equally good chocolate for 1/3 the cost. |

Worth a try
| This bar is well worth the try. For me, it was too sweet and perhaps not as bacon-y as I'd like. That being said, it really is tasty and kind of grows on you. I hope they introduce a 85% or higher version! |

No bacon flavor
| I tasted salt, and detected crunchiness (of bacon?), but I could not taste any bacon. This is basically salted chocolate, IMO, and I can get much better versions of that for less. |

A hint of crisp bacon delight
| I found this at a whole market organic food place and gave it a try. the first bite is greeted by a bit of salty crisp bacon with the lovely taste of dark chocolate. The bacon is spread out maybe a bit too thin in the bar but I could taste it. Definitely would eat it again. |
