The texture of the chocolate on the palate, the evolution of flavors in the mouth. In what order do they reveal themselves to you? Sweet cacao, fruity and acidic with spice rounding out the finish. Watch how the chili warms you after you have swallowed.

Red Fire: Mexican ancho & chipotle chillies + Ceylon cinnamon + dark chocolate, 55% cacao

Net weight: 3oz.

Consume within 18 months.

Manufactured in a facility that handles tree nuts, peanuts, sesame seeds, milk, wheat and soy.

Originally, cocoa beans were crushed and mixed with vanilla, cornmeal and chillies in a frothed drink. When Spanish conquistadors brought the beans back to Spain, new recipes were created by removing the spices and adding sugar, and mainstream chocolate consumption was born. Vosges takes chocolate back to its roots with the Red Fire bar, blending dark chocolate with ancho and chipotle chili peppers and Ceylon cinnamon.
Red Fire Martini

3 ounces vanilla vodka
2 ounces chocolate liqueur (creme de cacao)
1/2 ounce cinnamon schnapps liqueur
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon sweetened cocoa powder
1 Red Fire Bar

Mix all ingredients in a shaker over plenty of ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a martini glass rimmed in a mixture of cocoa powder and chili powder. (To do this easily, use a wedge of lime to wet the rim of the martini glass before you dip it in the cocoa powder/chili powder mixture. You can also rim the glass in Aztec Elixir Cocoa!) Garnish with coarsely chopped pieces of Red Fire bar (small enough so that they float on top of the martini). A single skewered chili pepper would also make a great garnish!

Spicy finish to please your palette
I LOVE this bar. The cinnamon and chocolate seem a standard combination, until the subtle spice of the chipotle kicks in. A delight to the tastebuds! Great for spice-lovers and not over-powering to the less spice inclined. My mom is not a big fan of spicy foods and she loved it,too.

One of my favorites!!
I love the combination of dark chocolate, cinnamon and chiles! If I were to pick one candy bar to take to a desert island, this would be it.

I could live on these!
The Red Fire bar is so good, I think it is better than the truffle! Just the right amount of heat!

Not my favorite
I have to be in the mood for this one. Sometimes I just don't like that kick in the back of my mouth from the spicy chili. If it's what you want, go for it.

The Perfect Blend of sweet & spicy
This bar turned me on to Vosges. I love different flavor combinations like spicy with sweet. It is still my favorite bar of Vosges.

Simply Amazing
This chocolate bar is nothing short of amazing! I just received one in my stocking for Christmas and all I can say is THANK YOU Santa! I have always been a fan of all things chocolate. Especially good chocolate. Godiva has nothing on this one! The combo of the cinnamon, chili and chocolate is so simple yet complex to the palate. Highly recommend this bar. Can't wait to try others of this brand! Just wish it wasn't so $$ and more available!

My Ultimate Favorite Vosges Item
This is the best thing I have ever eaten in my life. The depth of flavors are amazing and a must-have in my snack pantry. A very good aphrodisiac as well...

Thoughts on the flavors: Barely There
My friend and I were very excited to indulge on a journey of spicy ancho and chipotle chillies and cinnamon flavors captured in this $7.50 Vosges chocolate bar. However, to our disappointment, we could barely taste either of the flavors. They are too subtle. With the Vosges bacon bar, I can definitely tell that there is bacon and it is truly fantastic, but I am not quite sure why the flavors of THIS bar are not more pronounced. We have tried many spicy chile chocolates before by other chocolate makers and all of them were much better in capturing the flavor of the peppers along with any other spices they intended to. I am quite surprised that this bar received strong positive reviews. Is there a satisfaction guarantee on these bars?

Where's The Taste?
I was very disappointed after paying seven bucks for one of these. The heat and cinnamon flavor are nonexistent, and the chocolate tastes waxy. It's also only 55% cacao, which means the chocolate taste isn't very strong either. If you give this bar over 3 stars, you probably haven't tried many others in the same category.

Great bar
While I love this bar, it could use a little more fire.
