"The truth is, I wanted to use Marcona almonds in the Barcelona Bar, but the very best Marconas were friend and coated in oil. Oil and chocolate doesn't fare well. So I found an alternative, smoked almond that emulates the salty, fried taste. Little did I know it would develop the cult following... chocolate and salt."

Sugar free doesn't have to be tasteless!

| The crunch of the salt makes it a little like a nestle bar. Problem is, it makes me want to chew rather than allow it to melt. Also not as low in carbs as others. |

| It is amazing! The best by far, hands down, sugar free chocolate I have ever had. Its consistency reminds me of Gianduya (firm but creamy); the salts add to an amazing taste. It does NOT taste sugar free at all and it does not raise my blood sugars! |

Dear Diabetics: This One's For You!

| First and foremost, I need to state that both of my parents are type two diabetics. My mother was just recently diagnosed, and my father has been type two for nine years. He manages it very, very well. In fact, he has nearly normal blood sugar, I am happy to say. I bought the both of them a couple of these chocolate bars, because I happened to see them and I thought they could use a little guilt-free treat. My parents could not believe it. Indeed, I tasted it, and I couldn't believe it! This does not taste sugar-free. At all. This bar tastes just perfect. I don't think I'll ever be able to buy them another brand-- they're going to be spoiled for any other kind! |
