"This obsession with pecans and caramels came during my formative chocolate years somewhere around the age of nine years old. After church on Sundays, my mom, sister, brother and I would go to Keltch's, the Ft Wayne local pharmacy for our favorite treat, De Mett turtles. We all were infatuated with the combination of pecans and caramel. Long story short, Wink of the Rabbit was born, but this time with all organic ingredients."

Detour...to Watershed, a former gas station turned gourmet temple outside Atlanta, where James Beard award-winning chef Scott Peacock cooks up innovative Southern cuisine.

Try...Georgia wild-caught shrimp and grits, crispy scored founder, fried catfish and okra, chick mull (and indigenous stew), red velvet cake and, of course, peaches.

Marvel...at Georgia's natural beauty, including mountains, coastal plains, salt marshes, barrier islands and fertile farmland. Traverse Chattahoochee national Forest on Route 76, one of the most scenic drives in the country.

Get to know...Savannah's revitalized Starland district, which offers contemporary art galleries and a weekly farmer's market, which debuted to much success in 2007.

Butter, nuts....mmmm
You can taste the generous butter and fresh nuts in these delish caramels. Great addition to your Easter baskets because of their comfort food nature and cute 'rabbit' name.
