"This obsession with pecans and caramels came during my formative chocolate years somewhere around the age of nine years old. After church on Sundays, my mom, sister, brother and I would go to Keltch's, the Ft Wayne local pharmacy for our favorite treat, De Mett turtles. We all were infatuated with the combination of pecans and caramel. Long story short, Wink of the Rabbit was born, but this time with all organic ingredients."

the perfect caramel
|
| Is there a more perfect caramel than Wink of the Rabbit? No! As a caramel aficionado, I have tried them all....even tried making them myself. These are the perfect texture, soft with a bit of chew...and the flavor is delicious. There is no hint of corn syrup...and they are cooked to dark golden perfection. Add toasted pecans and cover with chocolate...heaven. |

Stand Back Turtle!
|
| This is the best pecan caramel covered in chocolate on the market. The caramel has a lightly buttered taste. The pecans are chopped fine and mixed in to the the flavor is even, then the surface is enrobed in chocolate. My mother-in-law and I both love them. I have to get her a package every time I get myself one. |

Nothing Else Compares

| I received these caramels in the mail today, two days after beginning my Weight Watchers membership, and let me just say, they are testing my willpower to the extreme. I tasted one, and nearly melted! The flavor of the caramel is so rich and buttery that it almost reminds one of toffee. But it's chewy-- not too chewy, mind you-- and silky smooth on the tongue. The milk chocolate is the first taste I tried, and let me tell you, if you're expecting milk chocolate from some dollar candy bar, you're in for a surprise. This chocolate is prime. Indeed, it's one of the most chocolatey milk chocolates I've ever had-- not too sweet, definitely retaining its bite. And the dark chocolate... I had to bite off the pecan on top first and let the next nibble melt in my mouth, just to savor it. I will never, ever, ever buy another caramel for anyone. This is now officially my go-to, and I can already tell you, I will be ordering more of these for good friends AND myself! (Sorry, Weight Watchers!) |
