Vosges Haut-Chocolat products use only the finest ingredients, including fresh cream, and have a limited shelf life. Due to the perishable nature of our chocolate collections, we partner with UPS and offer shipping methods which ensure all our haut-chocolat is delivered in perfect condition. During order processing, we monitor temperature and transit time to ensure that all packages arrive fresh and un-melted.

Orders placed at vosgeschocolate.com before 11PM CST will be processed for shipping on the future ship date selected during checkout. Orders placed on the Vosges App will be processed on the next available shipping date. Orders that require a specific or future ship date must be placed through the website or our Chocolate Concierge. 

GENERAL SHIPPING POLICY 

Please note that UPS has suspended its delivery guarantee and although we may process your order on time and transfer the package to UPS for 2nd Day or Next Day delivery, the order might not appear in the UPS system for 24 hours which may cause a delay on your expected delivery. Unfortunately, this is out of our control, and we apologize for any inconvenience it may cause.

Vosges Haut-Chocolat accepts orders shipping to the Continental US, Hawaii, Alaska, and Canada. All our orders ship exclusively with UPS and transit and delivery times are set per UPS. All orders ship from our Chocolate Temple Warehouse in Chicago Illinois. During the cooler months, shipments are fulfilled from Monday through Thursday. During the warmer months we offer limited shipping on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Our website calendar picker (available online at checkout) will have the most up to date shipping availability. Please visit our WARM WEATHER AND SUMMER SHIPPING POLICY for more details. 

Delivery by UPS is Monday through Friday. In some cases, orders shipped UPS Ground may deliver on a Saturday however no Sunday deliveries are available regardless of the shipping method used. UPS does not pick up orders on Saturday or Sunday or during bank holidays such as Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

If Ground shipping is not available during checkout, 2nd Day Air or faster shipping is required to ensure that your haut-chocolat arrives in perfect condition. This includes minimizing time in transit as well as warm weather considerations.

To protect the quality of your chocolate, we may hold your package for shipping until the following Tuesday to ensure minimal time in transit under these circumstances:

  • Certain zip codes require 2nd Day or Next Day to limit days in transit and ensure safe delivery. Any specific questions about shipping dates or shipping methods should be directed to 
  • The package will not arrive by Friday. *Select residential locations may qualify for Ground Saturday delivery.
  • The weather requires cooling materials. Our cooling materials will last for up to three days and cannot accommodate weekend shipping.
  • The collections in the order are highly perishable and have 14 day or lesser shelf life.
  • The temperatures at the destination are predicted to be over 95 degrees during the transit and delivery period. To ship to temperatures of 95+ degrees, overnight shipping may be required.

VOSGES APP SHIPPING POLICY

All orders placed through the Vosges Haut-Chocolat App will be shipped on the next available shipping date (typically Monday-Wednesday). Orders that require a specific or future ship date must be placed through the website or our Chocolate Concierge.  "App Exclusive" discounts and promotions may not be applied to orders placed online, orders placed through the Chocolate Concierge, or orders with future ship dates.

SHIPPING ALCOHOL

You must be 21 years of age or older to order, purchase or receive delivery of wine product. An adult signature (21 years or older) is required by law at time of delivery. We cannot ship wine internationally or to the following states: AL, AK, DE, KY, MA, MI, MS, NJ, OK, RI, SD, TX, UT, VT

From May to August Next Day Air is required for all orders shipping to locations in Arizona.

EXPLANATION OF 2ND DAY AND NEXT DAY TRANSIT TIMES

2nd Day and Next Day services is provided by UPS and does NOT offer Saturday or Sunday delivery. The terms Next day or 2nd day refer to the business days in transit and is not reflective of the number of days since your order was placed or processed by our shipping team. For example, an order placed on a Friday even if shipped via Next Day will ship on Monday and likely be delivered on Tuesday depending on UPS volume.

DELIVERY TIMES FOR BUSINESSES & RESIDENCES

Deliveries are generally made to residential locations Monday through Friday between 9am-8pm and commercial locations Monday through Friday between 9am -5pm. Select residential locations may qualify for Ground Saturday or Sunday delivery. 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air deliver on weekdays only. Delivery times are based on UPS guidelines and cannot be altered by Vosges.

WARM WEATHER AND SUMMER SHIPPING POLICY

To reduce the risk of melted chocolate on orders shipping to destinations with warm weather or longer transit times, we offer 2-Day Shipping. Ground shipping availability varies throughout the year based on the temperatures and time in transit. All shipping boxes will include complimentary cooling materials where needed. Our ice gel packs are non-toxic and reusable. We will let the customer know if any changes to the shipping schedule will be necessary.

From June through August all orders shipping to Arizona require Next Day shipping due to the extreme temperatures during those months. This may be extended depending on weather trends during this time. Most Next Day deliveries are made by noon (12pm) local time. Please be sure to retrieve your package as close to delivery as possible, our cooling materials cannot withstand the afternoon sun.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We currently offer shipping to Canada. Canada destinations are not eligible for Free Shipping. Shipping rates to Canada use UPS as the broker and include taxes and duties to residential locations. For business deliveries, Canadian policies allow the business to determine the broker and additional taxes and duties may be assessed at the time of delivery. Unfortunately, this is out of our control and fees cannot be paid for by Vosges once the package has been assigned a third-party broker.

EXPECTED TRANSIT TIMES BY SHIPPING METHOD

Packages shipped via Ground shipping are generally in transit for 1 to 5 business days based upon the destination and carrier volume. In select residential locations, packages shipped Ground may deliver on Saturday. If Ground shipping isn’t available at check-out, time in transit or temperature restrictions require expedited shipping to avoid melting or spoilage.

Packages shipped via 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air shipping deliver Monday through Friday only. Please refer to the Express shipping charts below for more information on when your package should arrive. If your order needs to arrive by a specific date, we encourage you to choose an Express shipping method.
