This is a classic Barolo - light garnet in color with Barolo's quintessential aromas of roses, tart cherries, and hints of truffles. Ceretto's Barolo DOCG is extraordinarily approachable, and it will continue to reward the patient wine drinker as it evolves over the course of several years. This collection will guide you through the five characteristics of wine and spirits, how to taste and introduce you to some of Katrina’s most coveted chocolates.

The Tasting Experience:
BREATHE
Close your eyes and take three deep breaths in and out through the nose, to the count of 4 on the inhale and a 4 on the exhale. Notice how the breath flows in your nose cool and then warm as it flows out in the exhale.
READ
Read the story of the chocolate you are about to taste. This allows you to pair
a picture in your imagination to conjure a vision of taste and journey.
SEE
See the chocolate. See the wine. Observe it as if for the first time… Examine the curves, the color, the movement; have a sense of its weight and temperature.
TOUCH
Touch the chocolate. Notice the shine on the surface and topping, if one exists. While reading its description and seeing its appearance, how does the chocolate feel in your hand? How do you think it will taste?
SMELL
Close your eyes again, smell the chocolate. What aromas arise?
TASTE
Slowly place the chocolate against your lips, feeling it. Now bite the chocolate in half and notice the sound it makes as it breaks.
Taste both the wine and the chocolate on their own first. Now, taste the chocolate and wine together.
FINISH
Reflect on the finish in your mouth by sipping air through your nose and chewing on it in the mouth.

We are powered by 100% renewable energy and abide by a green purchasing of procuring only post-consumer recycled board and biodegradable materials. Our kitchen exclusively uses Organic cream and sugar.
