(1) Bunny: Berry-infused solid white chocolate
Lepus was the sacred animal of Ostara, the goddess of renewal and spring. Once a dying bird with frozen wings, Lepus was revived by the Goddess. Transforming him from aviary to mammal, she removed his broken wings and turned him into a rabbit.
Because as a bird, Lepus had once been able to lay eggs, it is said that Ostara imbued him with the powers of fertility and an ability to produce eggs once a year in honor of the Spring Equinox, thus Easter eggs!
In return for her favor, Lepus connected Ostara to the stars. When he passed away and found his way to the skies, he made his final resting place in the heavens as a constellation at the feet of Orion.
Living in Paris, Katrina learned the Parisian ritual of purchasing chocolate and pastry daily. We use exotic and ephemeral ingredients for all our products.
