Product Care
Product Care for Truffles
"Shelf life" refers to the length of time the product will remain fresh after you receive it. The Rooster truffle in our Collezione Italiana will remain fresh for 7 days. Les Truffes au Chocolat Collection (Nature and Paprika) will remain fresh for 4 days. The remaining truffle collections have a shelf life of 10 days. All Vosges Haut-Chocolat truffles should be stored in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy, however, refrigeration will NOT increase product shelf life. If you do not plan on enjoying your truffles immediately, you can freeze the truffles in their original packaging for up to 4 months, as long as they remain sealed. For the best tasting experience, bring truffles to room temperature before indulging.
Shelf Life for Other Products
Store the following products at room temperature (ideally 67-69 degrees Fahrenheit):
Caramel Toffee: 2 months
Wink of the Rabbit Caramels & Exotic Caramels: 2 months
Couture Cocoas: 9 months
Exotic Candy Bars, Exotic Chocolate Chips, Organic Candy Bars, Bombalinas, Skulls and Bunnies: 6 months
Caramel Marshmallows: 2 weeks
Red Fire Pecans: 8-12 weeks
Red Fire Tortilla Chips: 8 weeks
Peanut Butter Bonbons: 8 weeks
The following products have special care instructions:
Gatsby and Daisy Cakes: Store in the refrigerator and consume within 3 days. Cakes can be kept frozen for up to 8 weeks.
Red Fire and Arriba Nib Brownies: Ideally, these brownies should be stored in the freezer. They can remain frozen for up to 4 months. Once thawed, they have a shelf life of 3 days.
Barely Baked Cookies: Store cookies in the freezer until ready to enjoy (cookies can be frozen up to 6 months). DO NOT refrigerate; this will dry out the cookie. Consume approximately 3-4 days after thawing. Cookies take about 3 hours to thaw. After the cookies are thawed, you can heat them in the microwave for 40 seconds or in the oven at 350 degrees for 1-1/2 minutes. (This makes them extra gooey and yummy!)
