A Valentine's Day Fête

A Valentine's Day Fête

A blast from the past brunch is on the menu for this Valentine's Day- a little 1950s kitsch and a taste of Doris Duke's Shangri-la class. Read on for a how-to on a love-infused fête to celebrate your favorite friends.

Party-worthy Pairings

From bubbly champagne and dark chocolate truffles to fruity cocktails and heart-shaped haut-chocolat, these Valentine's Day pairings will turn your table into a decadent display. You only need your favorite barware and a few desserts to start the party!

Mai Tai + New York Cheesecake + a Mai Tai Cocktail or Rum (Neat)

We opted for a 3" New York-style cheesecake with butter graham cracker crust for this dainty delight. We removed the fruit toppings, dusted it with dragonfruit powder, and topped it with our Mai Tai truffle to elevate the display. Rather than baking several mini cheesecakes on the fly, we opted to grab a smattering from one of our favorite Chicago sweet spots, Alliance Bakery.

Lemon Chiffon + Key Lime Tart + a Glass of Rosé

This tangy Key Lime Tart from Alliance Bakery allowed us to play up the tangy lime curd and buttery graham cracker crust—the meringue rosette atop pairs perfectly with our Lemon Chiffon truffle. A glass of rosé ties this party pairing together with its equally tart yet sweet bite. Many grocery stores or local bakeries keep Key Lime desserts in stock year-round, making this an easy pairing to recreate at home.

Cherry Pop + Dominique + a Shirley Temple Cocktail or a Pink Squirrel

Alliance Bakery's Dominique reminds us of the beauty of Valentine's Day. Bright patent reds and "cherry pops" (pun intended) go well with our much-loved cherry chocolate truffle and the creamy cocktail known as a Pink Squirrel. For those at the table who don't imbibe, a Shirley Temple looks just as lovely and tastes just as good.

Thai Iced Tea + Boba Tea

This pairing is sweet and simple yet full of love. For those with a go-to boba place, grab a few orders of your favorite flavor and pair it with our Thai Iced Tea truffle. If boba tea is unavailable near you, this truffle also tastes delicious with a classic Thai iced coffee or tea- all you need is a can of sweetened condensed milk and a gorgeous glass to serve it in!

A Feast for the Eyes

Your guests can indulge and feast their eyes when you surprise them with this bountiful centerpiece. To add height to your table, take a stack of books and set vintage finds or a favorite silver tray and a large bowl or goblet on top. Then, bring on the fruit, fronds and chocolate! To create your masterpiece, string truffles into a garland of sweets to share and savor. In fact, this also makes a great party activity for you and all your guests to participate in together.

Share Love with Those You Hold Dear

Big boxes of chocolate with frills and fancy fillings await. These haut-chocolat hearts are the perfect party favor for all your favorites. After all, chocolate is sweeter when shared with friends!

Delightful parfums of fruit, tea, and champagne are just a few of the ingredients we've married with our proprietary chocolate blends to say "I love you" in every way.

Pink Champagne Truffles

This petite Valentine's gift packs a big punch. We have married 62% cacao dark chocolate with renowned French Rosé champagne encased in our proprietary dark and 23-karat gold leaf, hand-topped with dried cherries, making this precious gem a proper toast to love.
