How is milk chocolate different from dark chocolate?
Vosges dark chocolate and milk chocolate differ primarily in their cocoa content and the addition or exclusion of dairy.
Dark chocolate has a higher percentage of cocoa solids and cocoa butter, giving it a more intense, less sweet flavor with notes that range from fruity to earthy.
Milk chocolate contains cocoa solids as well but is blended with milk, which makes it creamier, sweeter, and lighter in flavor.
Both our dark chocolate and proprietary deep milk chocolate are divine. Choosing between the two really comes down to your palate and personal preferences. Our milk chocolate bars, caramel milk chocolate confections, and truffles are all made with care in Chicago.
Is milk chocolate good for you?
Milk chocolate contains cacao, which is rich in flavonoids and antioxidants. But the benefits of milk chocolate go beyond nutrition.

Do you offer vegan milk chocolate?
Milk chocolate owes its creamy sweetness to dairy, so we don’t make a vegan version of it. Instead, we craft select dark chocolate creations that are completely vegan, offering indulgent flavors that contain no animal products.
Please be aware that our vegan chocolate is processed on equipment that also processes milk, soy, wheat, eggs, peanuts, sesame, and tree nuts. We thoroughly clean equipment between processing.
What is deep milk chocolate?
“Deep milk chocolate” may sound like an oxymoron, but while many brands of milk chocolate contain low levels of cacao (the key component of chocolate confections), Vosges’ proprietary deep milk chocolate contains 45% cacao.
We achieve a dense caramel profile by caramelizing roller-dried whole milk during the conching process. The result is a rich, indulgent milk chocolate—it’s a Vosges signature that’s apparent in every luxurious bite.
