NY Sour

This lively and uplifting New York sour trades the red wine splash for a tawny port float, giving it a nuttier, carmel taste. The traditional presences of the egg white brings a creamy taste that elevates the citrus notes. Salute!

Yield: 1 serving, Prep Time: 3 minutes


2 oz The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve

1 oz lemon juice

½ oz sugar syrup, to taste

1 egg white, optional

dash angostura bitters

splash tawny port

orange twist, garnish


Shake ingredients with ice and double strain into ice filled rocks glass.

Sugar Syrup


1 cup sugar

1 cup water 


In a small saucepan boil sugar and water together until the sugar is completely dissolved. Cool to room temperature.
