Each Vosges Haut-Chocolat collection is designed to be stored at ambient room temperature, keeping the chocolates safely tucked in their drawers through December 25th. For additional details reference the Care Card included with each shipment.

Close your eyes. Take three deep, ujjayi breaths. Listen to the space between thought and prepare your palate to experience chocolate.

SEE
Describe what you see. What is the shape, color, sheen and texture?

TOUCH
Run your finger against the chocolate, noticing its texture and releasing the aromatics.

SMELL
Bring the chocolate to your nose. Close your eyes, cup your hand around the chocolate and inhale deeply.

TASTE
Enjoy your haut-chocolat in two bites. In the first bite, you are just getting to know the haut-chocolat, and in the second, you delve deeper, searching out the aromas and nuances. You become immersed in the experience of the chocolate and the sensations. After you’ve eaten the haut-chocolat, take a breath and taste the air. The aroma should have a long, lingering finish that is layered with perfumed notes.

THE STORY

Long before it became the heart of chocolate, cacao grew deep within the emerald rainforests of South America—sacred, storied, and revered as the food of the gods. Beneath the canopy, nourished by rainfall and birdsong, the cacao tree flourished in quiet communion with the wild.

In time, cacao crossed continents, taking root in the sun-warmed soils of Africa. There, beneath baobabs and acacias, its story continued—watched over by new stewards and stirred by the same warm winds that rustle a zebra’s mane and drift through the tall grasses where giraffes roam.
