Day 14: Crispy Maple Leaf

Each bite has been molded into a maple leaf and sprinkled with autumn spice biscuits.
This seasonal surprise pairs beautifully with a toasty cinnamon chai. Here is how we make our favorite:
Water, about 6 ounces
Oat Milk (or milk of your choice), about 3 ounces
Sweetener of choice (granulated sugar or honey, to taste)
1 tablespoon of Black loose leaf tea
1 cinnamon stick
2 cardamom pods, smashed
1 small thumb of fresh ginger
Combine the water, milk, and spices in a saucepan and simmer. Reduce the heat and add the tea, steeping until it becomes a deep tan color. Strain the mixture into the mug of your choice and add sweetener to taste.
Ground spices will also work when fresh or whole spices are unavailable. Remember to measure ground spices to taste, as their flavor concentration can differ.
