Day 6: Dulce de Leche Truffle
House-made dulce de leche caramel encased in a shell of our proprietary 45% cacao deep milk chocolate and topped with dried strawberries.
Dulce de leche is a staple among Argentinian breakfast fare and desserts, where it is used as a creamy, caramel-like spread. Our dulce de leche is made by patiently slow-cooking sugar in milk over many hours. Perseverance is rewarded at first bite as you listen to the pop of the 45% cacao deep milk chocolate shell. Slowly, the shell melts in your mouth, unveiling unctuous caramel hinted with dried strawberry. Thankfully, we've included three of these beloved truffles in today's treasure drawer.
Our favorite way to enjoy this heavenly flavor alliance is with a Yerba-maté Oat Latte. All you need is one part brewed maté tea and two parts warm oat milk. Palais des Thés makes a bright and energetic Organic Maté Classico that pairs perfectly with our dulce de leche. Salud!
