  • 1/3 cup drinking chocolate mix
  • 1 cup liquid — whole milk, plant-based milk, or water

Plant-based? We love it with unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk.

Bring your chosen liquid to a gentle boil in a small saucepan. Lower the heat and slowly whisk in the drinking chocolate mix, letting the rich cacao melt into a silken pool. Stir until completely dissolved and smooth.

Cover and allow to steep for at least 5 minutes. Blend on high for 1 minute to awaken a fiery froth. Pour into a rustic mug or clay cup and garnish with a cinnamon stick, a twist of orange peel, or toasted cacao nibs.
