Having been quite pleased with every previous Vosges purchase I knew this gift would not disappoint. After removing the plastic, the experience of opening the truffles is pleasant. Lifting the velvet covered bordered top of the box off, was a perfect precursor to a tissue paper sleeve that skims the tops of the chocolate dusted champagne truffles. Then peeling the tissue off the truffles revealed an instant champagne note up my nose and it gave me a quick wide smile. I picked one and slowly bit into it halfway, so I could feel the smooth texture and melt-in-your-mouth sensation of heaven on earth! Then I looked at the other half between my finger and thumb and marveled at the small size tornado that took over. The second one I ate was just plopped in my mouth and left there to slowly melt and devour my taste buds and throat. Unfortunately, I had to share the rest with the other people that came over to celebrate my Birthday.
